The Russian section of the 31-th Moscow Film Festival presented two ways of creative search: first inspired by historical past, second facing modern life. Ivan Okhlobystin managed to plunge into waters of both rivers, being in focus both at the court of Ivan IV (in "the Czar" by Pavel Lungin), and in today's Moscow (in "Figa.Ro" by Rano Kubaeva).
